On the eve of Human Rights Day, join the American Federation of Teachers and Facing History & Ourselves for a conversation with Ambassador Samantha Power about educating young people to be upstanders for a more humane and just world. Ambassador Power’s new best-selling memoir charts her compelling journey—from immigrant, to war correspondent, to Pulitzer Prize-winning author, activist and foreign policy critic, to cabinet official and Ambassador to the United Nations in the Obama administration. Her story illuminates the complexity, and necessity, to learning to make a difference in today’s world. 
 
Participants in the webinar will receive free classroom resources about human rights and current events from Facing History & Ourselves.
