One of the reasons that Facing History teachers are so successful is because we don’t simply hand over materials and send you on your way. This is a partnership, not a transaction.
After participating in professional development, educators looking to implement a Facing History program in their classroom, school or district can access to a Facing History Program Associate-former classroom teachers- who can illuminate our methodology and help teachers tailor an approach that would make sense for their teaching and bring our material to life in the classroom. We offer instructional advice and direction to teachers, opening more opportunities for professional reflection and growth of practice.

A significant amount of our online content is open to everyone. As a visitor to our site, you'll find a broad selection of tools, lesson plans, handouts, and videos. Copies of many of our publications are also available as free PDFs that you can download right away by creating a basic account under Create My Profile.

If you already have a username and password on facinghistory.org, please log in. If you don't have a profile set up, you can create one as you register; it's quick, free, and easy.
Click on the professional learning event you are interested in to submit an online application. The application involves answering a series of questions about why you wish to apply, and how you plan on using Facing History & Ourselves’ resources. No application is needed for webinars.
After you are approved for an event with a fee, you will be able to select from different payment options. We accept credit cards, and pay-later options are also available.
We also occasionally offer scholarships. A scholarship option will appear as a ticket type upon checkout, if it’s available.
