The Connect, Extend, Challenge Protocol helps students connect new ideas to what they already know about a topic. As students consider how what they're learning extends and challenges their thinking, they deepen their understanding of the topic. Students can write their responses using our free Connect, Extend, Challenge template, available both as a printable PDF and in a Google Doc format.
